Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a Freezing
Rain Advisory... which is in effect from 9 am to 4 PM PST Tuesday.

* Locations... Coeur D'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Worley, Moscow,
Plummer, Potlatch, Genesee, Kellogg, Pinehurst, Osburn,
Wallace, Mullan, Fourth of July Pass, Dobson Pass, Lookout
Pass, Pullman, Colfax, Rosalia, La Crosse, Oakesdale, Tekoa,
Uniontown, Spokane, Cheney, Davenport, and Rockford.

* Ice accumulations... between a trace to few hundreths.

* Timing... a band of very light wintry precipitation arrives
Tuesday morning after 10 am coming in the form of freezing
rain... sleet or snow and departs Tuesday afternoon.

* Impacts... any sleet or freezing rain will lead to very slick
roads and walkways.

* Temperatures... in the teens to 20s warming 20s to lower 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.




Air Stagnation Advisory
Issued: 9:36 AM MST Jan. 16, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Air stagnation advisory now in effect until 10 am PST /11 am
MST/ Tuesday...

* advisory... a ridge of high pressure will persist over eastern
Washington and north Idaho through early Tuesday. This will
result in very light winds and poor atmospheric mixing. This
will likely lead to increased pollution levels near the
ground and deteriorated air quality.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An air stagnation advisory indicates that due to limited movement
of an airmass across the advisory area... pollution has the
potential to increase to dangerous levels. Persons with
respiratory illness should follow their physicians advice for
dealing with high levels of air pollution.
