* what... dangerously cold wind chills expected. Freezing rain
expected. Very cold wind chills expected. The ice will result in
very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges,
including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Expect wind
chills to range from 15 to 30 degrees above zero. Total ice
accumulations of a light glaze are expected.

* Where... inland Willacy and inland Cameron County.

* When... for the wind chill warning, 10 PM this evening to noon
Wednesday. For the Winter Weather Advisory, 6 PM today to 10
am Wednesday. For the Wind Chill Advisory, noon to 10 PM this
evening.

* Additional details... the dangerously cold wind chills will cause
frostbite in as little as 10 minutes to exposed skin. The ice
will result in difficult travel conditions, including during
rush hour Wednesday morning. Total ice accumulations of up to
one tenth of an inch are expected. For maximum warmth, dress in
layers of clothing. Protect outside pets and livestock by
providing adequate shelter and a safe source of heat.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and
the wind will create dangerously low wind chill values. Frost
bite can occur quickly and even hypothermia or death if
precautions are not taken.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
Slow down and use caution while driving. The latest Road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by
calling 5 1 1.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

CST Wednesday...

* temperature... 28 to 32 degrees.

* Impacts... subfreezing temperatures will threaten tender
vegetation across the region. Protect outside pets and
livestock by providing adequate shelter and a safe source of
heat. Exposed pipes could freeze.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
