the Mississippi River at McGregor.
* From late Sunday night until further notice... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 9:15 PM Saturday the stage was 14.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage Monday morning and continue to
rise to near 17.3 feet Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 17.0 feet... minor lowland flooding begins, and access to
Parks near the river in Prairie Du Chien is affected.

* At 8:45 PM Saturday the stage was 15.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... and drop below flood
stage Tuesday evening.
* Impact... at 15.0 feet... the town of Steuben experiences significant
flooding.

* At 2:40 PM Saturday the stage was 16.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... and drop below flood
stage Monday.
* Impact... at 15.0 feet... moderate flooding is possible in and around
Gays Mills.

* At 6:32 PM Saturday the stage was 15.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... and drop below flood
stage Sunday evening.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... water may begin to flood the park and
campground area in the old section of town.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from midnight CDT tonight
through Sunday evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northeast Iowa... southeast Minnesota and
Wisconsin... including the following areas... in northeast
Iowa... Allamakee... Clayton... Fayette and Winneshiek. In
southeast Minnesota... Houston and Winona. In Wisconsin...
Adams... Buffalo... Clark... Crawford... Jackson... Juneau... La
Crosse... Monroe... Richland... Trempealeau and Vernon.

* From midnight CDT tonight through Sunday evening

* another 1/4 to 1 inch of rain is expected from late tonight
through Sunday.

* Grounds are saturated and cannot handle any more rainfall. Any
additional rain will runoff into rivers and streams... and could
result in more flash flooding. Rock and mud slides are also
possible in hilly terrain.
