... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST
Friday...

* periods of snow showers... possibly moderate to heavy at
times... are expected today and tonight.

* Total snow accumulation will range from 3 to 6 inches across
northwest Oneida County to less than 3 inches elsewhere. The
heaviest snowfall is expected to occur today and this evening.

* Blustery northwest winds will produce some blowing and
drifting of the snow.

* The snow and blowing and drifting snow will lead to hazardous
travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that visibilities will
be limited due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use
caution when traveling... especially in open areas. The latest
Wisconsin Road conditions can be obtained by calling 511.

Scattered snow showers and flurries occurred overnight, likely
resulting in slippery roadways. At 500 am, radar indicated lake-
effect snow bands organizing over Western Lake Superior. The
bands are likely to strengthen this morning as conditions become
more favorable for lake snow. The bands of snow showers will
affect Vilas and Oneida counties at times. As the snow showers
increase, travel conditions will begin to deteriorate.

Morning commuters should allow extra time to reach their
destination. The latest Wisconsin Road conditions can be obtained
by calling 511.
