Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:42 PM AKST Feb. 23, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM akst this
evening along the coast from Nunivak Island northward...

* what... snow and blowing snow is occurring. Plan on difficult
travel conditions. In addition, areas of poor visibility less
than one- half mile are expected. Total snow accumulations of 3
to 5 inches are expected.

* Where... along the Kuskokwim Delta coast from Nunivak Island
northward.

* When... through 9 PM today.

* Additional details... winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause
areas of blowing and drifting snow with visibility as low as
one-half mile this evening. Later tonight, winds will shift to
westerly with gusts reaching up to 50 mph near the coast. This
could lead to decreased visibility as the new snow is blown
around by the strong winds, but surface visibility is not
expected to decrease below one-half mile.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods
of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving.
