... Red flag warning remains in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to
midnight akdt tonight for lightning for middle Tanana Valley...

* affected area... north and east of Fairbanks.

* Lightning activity level... 4.

* Timing... Thursday between 4pm and midnight.

* Winds... southwest 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Humidity... as low as 26 percent.

* Temperatures... 64 to 79.

* Impacts... ample lightning could lead to numerous new fire
starts.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that conditions are occurring or will
occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.
