Special Weather Statement
Issued: Environment Canada
Special Weather Statement issued by Environment. 01:33 AM EDT Monday 18 June 2018.
A warm and humid airmass has moved over Southern Ontario. Low temperatures this morning remain above 20 degrees, providing little relief from yesterday's heat. Maximum temperatures will be slightly cooler today, but are still forecast to reach the high twenties with humidex values possibly reaching 37.

A cold front is expected to bring precipitation and cooler air into Southern Ontario later today.

These conditions may pose a health risk when you are not used to the heat.

Everyone is at risk from heat, especially older adults; infants and young children; and people with chronic illnesses.

You are advised to 1) drink plenty of cool liquids before feeling thirsty; and 2) keep cool by dressing for the weather and spending a few hours each day in a cool place.
