... High rip current risk now in effect through this evening...

* location... the beaches of Condado, Ocean Park, Levittown,
playa caracoles, los tubos, Puerto Nuevo, Cerro Gordo,
balneario Dorado, crashboat, Penon Brusi, playa Jobos, tunel
Guajataca, Pico de Piedra, Sandy Beach, playa buye, Combate,
playa Ballena, Playita rosada, Punta Ventana, playa Ponce, and
culebrita are all in the high rip current risk area.

* Timing... through at least Monday evening.

* Impacts... strong rip currents are forecast for all of the
Puerto Rico coastline except for the far southeast tip.
Dangerous high surf and localized beach erosion are possible
in the risk area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
