The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Memphis
* from Tuesday February 19 until Wednesday March 06.
* At 08 PM Monday the stage was 33.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 37.5 feet on Thursday February 28.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Tuesday February 19 and
continue to rise to near 37.5 feet by Thursday February 28.The
river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday March 06.
* At 38.0 feet... in Memphis, the fuel terminal just south of the
river gage is flooding.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from noon CST today
through late Wednesday night...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east Arkansas, north Mississippi, southeast
Missouri, and west Tennessee, including the following areas,
in east Arkansas, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, cross, Greene,
Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, and St. Francis. In
north Mississippi, Alcorn, Benton, Calhoun, Chickasaw,
Coahoma, DeSoto, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Monroe,
Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate,
Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, and Yalobusha. In southeast
Missouri, Dunklin and Pemiscot. In west Tennessee, Benton,
Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson,
Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale,
Madison, McNairy, Obion, Shelby, Tipton, and Weakley.

* From noon CST today through late Wednesday night

* 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected across most of the mid-south.

* Street flooding will be a hazard for travelers. Low-lying and
poor drainage areas will be at risk for flash flooding, as
well as small streams.
