The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Memphis
* from Wednesday February 28 until Tuesday March 13.
* At 1 PM Friday the stage was 26.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 36.0 feet on Monday March 5.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Wednesday February 28 and
continue to rise to near 36.0 feet by Monday March 5.The river
will likely fall below flood stage by Tuesday March 13.
* At 36.0 feet... in Tennessee, water is edging onto fullen dock area.
Roads on the north side of the loosahatchie river near its mouth
are beginning to flood. Riverside Park Marina begins to flood.

The National Weather Service in Memphis TN has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Wolf River near Wolf River near Rossville 1n
* from Sunday February 25 until Monday February 26.
* At 10 am Friday the stage was... 12.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 13.5 feet on Sunday February 25.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Sunday February 25 and
continue to rise to near 13.5 feet by Sunday February 25.
The river will fall below flood stage by Monday February 26.
At 14.0 feet, flood water begins to flow over highways 196, 205 and
Houston levee Road near the Wolf River. Morrison Creek at Rossville
will begin to backwater flood around the businesses near the Railroad
tracks. The Collierville-Arlington Road is flooding or flooded near
the Wolf River bridge. Residential areas near the river in southeast
Shelby County will begin to flood..

* from Saturday February 24 until Tuesday February 27.
* At 9 am Friday the stage was 18.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 21.5 feet on Sunday February 25.
* Flood stage is 20.5 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Saturday February 24 and
continue to rise to near 21.5 feet by Sunday February 25.
* At 21.0 feet... green trail flooding along the Wolf River is more
extensive from Houston levee Road to Interstate 40.

... Flood Watch remains in effect through late Saturday night...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east Arkansas, north Mississippi, southeast
Missouri, and west Tennessee, including the following areas,
in east Arkansas, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, cross, Greene,
Lawrence, Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, Randolph, and
St. Francis. In north Mississippi, Alcorn, Benton, Coahoma,
DeSoto, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Tate, Tippah, and Tunica.
In southeast Missouri, Dunklin and Pemiscot. In west
Tennessee, Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer,
Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry,
Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Shelby, Tipton, and
Weakley.

* Through late Saturday night

* additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible
through Saturday night, with highest amounts expected north of
Interstate 40.

* Runoff from heavy rainfall may result in rapid rises in river,
stream, and creek levels. Widespread rural lowland flooding is
possible and poor drainage urban areas may experience street
flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
