Issued: 4:10 AM MST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until noon MST Tuesday...

* timing... persistent snowfall today with bursts of heavy snow at
times. Some snowfall is expected to continue tonight... before
tapering off mid day Tuesday. However the snowfall later tonight
and Tuesday... currently is expected to be lighter than what
occurs through the day today and this evening.

* Snow totals... 6 to 8 inches in the valleys. 9 to 15 inches in
the mountains.

* Visibility... quarter to half mile in heavier snow. Areas of
blowing snow mainly in the mountains tonight... especially in
open areas.

* Impacts... roads and highways will be slick and snow packed.
Please monitor jhavalanche.Org if your plans include travel into
the back country.
