... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 8 am to 10 PM PST
Thursday...

* timing... winds will increase Thursday morning, peak Thursday
afternoon, then decrease Thursday evening.

* Winds... west to southwest winds gusting 35 to 50 mph in the
Owens Valley, and 50 to 65 in the Sierra. Isolated higher
gusts possible.

* Impacts... strong winds will create hazardous driving
conditions due to gusty Crosswinds and areas of blowing dust,
especially between Independence and Ridgecrest along Highway
395. Loose or unsecured objects may be displaced.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Check Road and weather conditions before traveling. Motorists,
and especially drivers of high-profile vehicles should be
prepared for strong Crosswinds and areas of reduced visibility.
