Watches & Warnings

Beach Hazard Statement
Issued: 4:51 PM PDT Sep. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

* timing... surf heights of 14 to 18 feet today through
Wednesday. The highest risk of large beach runup and the
largest surf will occur today.

* Impacts... increased risk of rip currents... sneaker waves... and
locally large shore break and runup. The first large swell of
the season can allow for waves to wash farther up the beach
slope than normally expected. Beachgoers are advised to stay
farther back from the surf than usual.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
