The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow above 3000 feet, which is in effect
until 4 am PST Tuesday.

* Timing... through early Tuesday morning.

* Locations... areas above 3000 feet.

* Main impact... slippery snow covered roads.

* Snow accumulations... 4 to 8 inches of snow will be possible
above 3000 feet.

* Other impacts... brief periods of very low visibility in heavy
snow showers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.





Flood Warning
Issued: 3:07 PM PST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sacramento River at Ord Ferry.
* At 2:45 PM Monday the stage was 114.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast to fall below flood stage of 114.0 ft this afternoon then
forecast to fall below monitor stage of 110.0 ft near tomorrow noon
then forecast to recede to near 110.0 ft tomorrow afternoon.
* Flood stage 114.0 ft
* monitor stage 110.0 ft
* impact... near 114.0 feet, designated flood stage. Design overflow
level for m&t, 3bs and Goose Lake flood control facilities to
divert flood flows into Butte basin. M&t overflows close River Road
from Ord Ferry Road to Chico Road. Ord Ferry Road is already
closed.
* Impact... near 110.5 feet, head cuts in 3bs Silt Weir start overflow
into Butte basin, flooding dips on Ord Ferry Road west of River
Road. Persistent flows at or above this level increase flooding in
Butte basin. Ord Ferry Road and additional roads in Glenn and
Colusa counties are closed due to flooding.
