High Surf Advisory
Issued: 3:13 AM HST Nov. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... High surf advisory remains in effect to 6 PM HST Monday...

* surf... on Oahu, Molokai and Maui, surf along north facing shores
will reach 18 to 22 feet. On The Big Island, surf along north
facing shores will rise to 12 to 18 feet.

* Timing... surf will reach advisory levels by mid morning for the
smaller islands, and by midday for The Big Island. Surf will
peak late this afternoon or this evening, before subsiding
through Monday night.

* Impacts... moderate... expect strong breaking waves, shore
break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming
difficult and dangerous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by
ocean safety officials and exercise caution. When in doubt, do
not go out.
