... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST
Tuesday...
... Winter Storm Warning is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Medford has cancelled the Winter
Storm Warning.

* Snow accumulations... 6 to 12 inches with 10 to 13 inches near
Crater Lake.

* Winds... west winds of 15 to 25 mph will cause areas of blowing
and drifting snow and low visibility... mainly over the higher
elevations.

* Timing... snow will become heavy at times late this afternoon
through Tuesday morning.

* Locations in the warning include... the Cascades from Lake of
The Woods north. This includes Crater Lake... Diamond Lake and
portions of Highway 140... 62 and 232 near Union Creek.

* Locations in the advisory include... the Cascades and Siskiyous
south of Lake of The Woods. This includes Howard Prairie...
Interstate 5 at Siskiyou Summit... Mount Ashland... and dead
Indian Memorial Highway.

* Impacts... heavy snow and reduced visibilities will cause
travel difficulties. Roads will be snow covered and icy.
Higher rural and unplowed roads will become impassable due to
heavy snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* travel is strongly discouraged... especially in warning
areas... because of dangerous conditions.

* If you must travel... keep tire chains... a flashlight...
blankets... food... water... medications... and a fully charged
phone with you.

* The safest place during a winter storm is indoors.

* A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties.

* A Winter Storm Warning means that severe winter weather is
likely and poses a threat to life and property. Take
protective action now.

* Travel is strongly discouraged because of dangerous conditions.

* If you must travel, keep tire chains, a flashlight, blankets,
food, water, medications, and a fully charged phone with you.

* The safest place during a winter storm is indoors.
