Winter Storm Watch
Issued: 8:16 PM PST Dec. 6, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Thursday afternoon through
Friday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a Winter Storm
Watch... which is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Friday
afternoon.

* Timing... one to two feet of new snow is likely in the Cascades
and Olympics Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon.

* Main impact... travel over the passes will be greatly affected.
The snow level will be near sea level so all areas of the
mountains will receive heavy snow... including towns at low
elevations.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue
to monitor the latest forecasts.
