Special Statement
Issued: 4:57 PM EDT Sep. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Gusty winds will cause scattered tree damage through this
evening...

Wind gusts between 30 and 45 mph will persist into this evening
and be enough to down some branches and even a few unhealthy
trees across interior eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The
scattered tree damage is exacerbated by the trees being fully
leafed out. Isolated power outages remain a possibility through
this evening.
