... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Monday morning...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter Storm
Watch... which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Monday
morning.

* Locations... the southwest Adirondacks and southern Vermont.

* Hazard types... snow.

* Snow accumulations... 5 to 8 inches... with the greatest amounts
expected across higher terrain of the southwest
Adirondacks... and portions of southern Vermont.

* Timing... light snow will overspread the region during Sunday
afternoon. Steadier snow... some moderate to heavy in
intensity... will develop late Sunday evening and continue
through daybreak Monday. The snow will gradually decrease in
intensity during Monday morning.

* Impacts... snow covered roadways and reduced visibilities due to
falling snow.

* Winds... south 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... in the lower to mid 20s... rising to around
freezing by late Monday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
