* flood advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas for...
snowmelt in...
Pondera County in north central Montana...

* until 530 PM MDT Friday

* at 527 PM MDT, emergency management reported snowmelt causing
flooding in Pondera County. Snowmelt will continue to flood open
fields and impact rural roads across Pondera County over the next
few days.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include areas near...
Conrad, Valier, Brady, Heart Butte, Dupuyer and Ledger.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has extended the

* flood advisory for...
snowmelt in...
Glacier County in north central Montana...

* until 345 PM MDT Friday

* emergency management and the Department of Transportation continue
to report snowmelt causing minor flooding in Glacier County. Roads
being impacted include Highway 464 near Babb, Highway 444 near the
Big Sky Colony, and Highway 213 north of Cut Bank.

* Continued warm temperatures will allow the threat of snowmelt
flooding to persist until at least Friday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Snowmelt runoff will cause flooding of small creeks and streams,
country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.

High Wind Watch
Issued: 2:23 PM MDT Apr. 19, 2018 – National Weather Service

... High wind watch in effect from Saturday morning through
Saturday evening...

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a high
wind watch, which is in effect from Saturday morning through
Saturday evening.

* Winds: southwest 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Local
gusts up to 80 mph along the Rocky Mountain front.

* Timing: winds will increase along the Rocky Mountain front and
in eastern Glacier County Saturday morning. These winds could
become strong and gusty during the afternoon and into the early
evening hours.

* Impacts: strong winds could break tree branches. Isolated power
outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high wind watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
58 mph or stronger, may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.
