Watches & Warnings

Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 11:49 AM MDT May. 25, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect from 10 am to 10 PM MDT
Saturday for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels for
fire weather zone 205 below 7500 feet...

* affected area... in Colorado, fire weather zone 205 Colorado
River headwaters below 7500 feet.

* Winds... southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Relative humidity... 7 to 12 percent.

* Impacts... new fire starts may be difficult or impossible to
control due to fast rates of spread. Outdoor burning is
strongly discouraged.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
