High there BriarCraft:
Your blog is on my "to do" list. Just checking bird books for Herron pictures.
One morning one of our Blues landed 30' up in a sapling and 10' from the windows I had just installed. The big bird was stabilizing the tree perch with it's wings and I saw fine red pin stripe an inch or two from the leading edge of it's wings
