Schliengen, Germany

Caption: The castle dates back to the year 821 when it was a fortress, but over the years it changed to more of a manor house. In 1970 the city bought it and renovated it, and it now serves as the city hall.

About Hotzenwaelder

Hotzenwaelder

Although born, reared, and educated in the United States, I have been living in Europe for well over half of my life – primarily in Germany, and the pictures I submit are for the most part from the southern slopes of the Black Forest in the Rhine Valley between Germany and Switzerland. I have learned a great deal about photography from all the excellent posters on this site, and I am very thankful to everyone from all over the world for the help.
