Synopsis
Strong high pressure...extending from the mid Atlantic states into the western Atlantic...will persist through the period. Tropical Storm Ida...in the western Caribbean... will continue to move north to northwest toward and then into the central Gulf of Mexico by Sunday afternoon. The tropical storm will move into the north central Gulf and eventually towards the eastern Gulf by Wednesday...weakening and becoming extratropical.
