ice forecasts for the Great Lakes issued by Environment Canada at 12:00 p.M. EDT Saturday 28 March 2015 for today tonight and Sunday. The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 12:00 p.M. Sunday.

Western Lake Superior. Ice pressure warning in effect. 7 tenths of New Lake ice except 9 tenths of thick lake ice over the eastern. 2 tenths of thick lake ice along parts of the southern shore. Consolidated very thick lake ice in Black Bay and Nipigon Bay. Consolidated thick lake ice including 2 tenths of very thick lake ice in Thunder Bay. Strong ice pressure developing in the pack ice in the eastern section this evening and easing Sunday evening.

Eastern Lake Superior. Ice pressure warning in effect. 8 tenths of thick lake ice except 9 plus tenths of thick lake ice over the eastern section. Strong ice pressure developing in the pack ice Sunday morning.

Whitefish Bay. Consolidated thick lake ice including 2 tenths of very thick lake ice.

Northern Lake Huron. 5 tenths of New Lake ice including 1 tenth of thick lake ice except 9 tenths of thick lake ice in the extreme southeastern section. Consolidated thick lake ice in The Straits of Mackinac.

Southern Lake Huron. Ice pressure warning in effect. 3 tenths of New Lake ice except 9 tenths of thick lake ice in the eastern section. Consolidated thick lake ice in Saginaw Bay. Strong ice pressure developing in the pack ice Sunday afternoon.

North Channel. Consolidated thick lake ice including 2 tenths of very thick lake ice.

Northern Georgian Bay. Ice pressure warning in effect. 8 tenths of New Lake ice including 2 tenths of thin lake ice except 9 tenths of thick lake ice in the southern section. Consolidated thick lake ice along the northern and Eastern Shores. Strong ice pressure developing in the pack ice Sunday afternoon.

Southern Georgian Bay. Ice pressure warning in effect. 9 tenths of thick lake ice. Consolidated thick lake ice along the Eastern Shore. Strong ice pressure developing in the pack ice Sunday afternoon.

Lake St. Clair. 8 tenths of thick lake ice.

Western Lake Erie. Ice pressure warning in effect. 8 tenths of thick lake ice including 2 tenths of very thick lake ice. Consolidated thick lake ice including 2 tenths of very thick lake ice in the southern section of the western basin. Strong ice pressure developing in the pack ice late Sunday afternoon.

Eastern Lake Erie. Ice pressure warning in effect. 9 tenths of thick lake ice. Consolidated thick lake ice in the extreme eastern section and in Long Point Bay. Strong ice pressure developing in the pack ice Sunday afternoon.

Eastern Lake Ontario. Open water ice except 9 tenths of medium lake ice including 3 tenths of thick lake ice over the eastern section. Consolidated thick lake ice in the Bay of Quinte and the extreme eastern section.

Western Lake Ontario. Open water.

Northern Lake Michigan. Open water except for consolidated thick lake ice north and east of Beaver Island and in Grand Traverse Bay. 9 tenths of thick lake ice elsewhere in the northeastern section. 2 tenths of thick lake ice in strips and patches near the entrance to Green Bay.

Southern Lake Michigan. Open water except 8 tenths of medium lake ice including 3 tenths of thick lake ice near the Eastern Shores from Michigan City to Muskegon.

Green Bay. Consolidated thick lake ice except 9 tenths of thick lake ice in the southern section and the eastern half of the northern section of the Bay.
