Areal Flood Watch
Statement as of 1:52 AM PST on March 02, 2015

... Flood Watch remains in effect through this afternoon...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Arizona and extreme southeast California... including
the following areas... in Arizona... lower Colorado River valley
AZ... west central deserts and Yuma/Martinez Lake and vicinity. In
extreme southeast California... lower Colorado River valley CA.

* Through this afternoon

* showers that are now affecting this region are expected to continue
through the remainder of the morning hours... before tapering off by
late afternoon. Some isolated light showers are still possible this
evening. Storm total amounts will generally vary from one half to
one inch with some spots possibly as high as one and a quarter
inches.

* Rainfall is expected to be sufficient to eventually produce
significant runoff in at least some of the normally dry washes
creating potentially dangerous conditions at unbridged crossings.
Other low lying flood prone areas will likely see some inundation.
Affected washes include but are not limited to... Centennial...
Bouse... Tyson... and McCoy. Rural roads and portions of some
highways including Highway 95... Highway 60... Arizona Route 72...
and California Route 78 will likely be affected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood
warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
