...Changing weather this weekend will bring wind and mountain snow...

Saturday...expect windy conditions with gusts in the 25 to 35 mph range...especially in the desert valleys of eastern Utah and exposed mountain areas. A few mountain showers with possible thunderstorms can be expected.

Sunday...cooler air arrives with an increasing chance of showers. Snow levels will lower to around 9000 to 10000 feet.

Sunday night...accumulating snowfall is expected over the mountain passes with snow levels lowering to 7000 to 8000 feet. Above 9000 feet...3 to 6 inches of new snow may occur. The south facing slopes of the San Juan Mountains could receive upwards to 10 inches of snow at the mountain passes. Check for forecast updates for the latest information on snowfall potential.

Monday...colder and unsettled conditions with a chance of rain or snow showers. Snow levels will lower to around 5500 to 6000 feet.

Monday night...the threat of rain and snow showers diminishes as the weather system departs the region.
