Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 3 am to 9 PM CST

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... blowing snow... and a wintry mix... which
is in effect from 3 am to 9 PM CST Tuesday.

* The heaviest snow is expected to move through Tuesday morning
between 6 am and noon... particularly in north central Wisconsin.
The highest chances for a wintry mix of snow... sleet... and
freezing rain also is Tuesday morning across portions of
northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin.

* Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected in north
central Wisconsin with lesser amounts to the south where the
wintry mix could occur.

* Winds will increase Tuesday afternoon with some gusts out of the
northwest at 30 to 40 mph. This will cause some blowing and
drifting of the next snow and cause roads to remain snow covered
and slippery into the early evening Tuesday.

* People with travel plans on Tuesday should be prepared for these
adverse conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
