... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 4 PM EST this
afternoon...

* snow will linger through the afternoon before ending by early
evening.

* An additional inch of snow accumulation is expected. This will
bring storm total snow and sleet accumulations to the 3 to 5
inch range.

* This snow will continue to make travel treacherous into this
evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and sleet means severe
winter weather conditions are expected. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Statement as of 10:30 AM EST on March 05, 2015

The Flood Warning continues for
the North Fork Kentucky River at Jackson.
* At 10:00 am Thursday the stage was 28.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will crest just above flood stage
at 29.1 feet early this evening, before falling below
flood stage tonight.
* At 29.0 feet... low lying areas flood. Water begins inundating
Wolverine Road just north of the Hays depot bridge.

Clay... Perry... Johnson... southwestern Knott... southern Lee...
northeastern Floyd... Breathitt... northwestern Harlan... Leslie...
Owsley... Martin... southeastern Morgan and Magoffin counties...

At 423 am EST... a mixture of sleet and snow was ongoing... and
expected to change over to all snow this morning... before tapering
off by late this afternoon. However... runoff from heavy rainfall and
snow melt that occurred Tuesday night and Wednesday has resulted in
flooding of some area creeks and streams within the warning. Expect
flooding to continue in these locations through at least this
afternoon.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
