* until 745 am CDT

* at 658 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated a line of severe
thunderstorms capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging
winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line
extending from near Anacoco to near Cravens to near Sulphur... and
moving east at 55 mph.

the Sabine River near Deweyville.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:45 PM Sunday the stage was 24.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river remain near 24.3 feet.
* Impact... at stages near 24.0 feet... minor lowland flooding will
occur.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

Davis... Lafayette... lower St. Martin... St. Landry... St. Mary...
upper St. Martin... Vermilion and West Cameron. In Texas...
Jefferson... Orange... southern Jasper and southern Newton.

* Through this evening

* numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop
through Monday across the area. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3
inches are expected with locally higher amounts of up to 6
inches possible

* areas that see heavy rainfall within a short time could
receive flood water to depths that would impact property and
people in those areas. Area creeks... streams and rivers are
also likely to experience rises.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action

northwestern Cameron parishes... Orange... northeastern Jefferson and
southeastern Hardin counties until 715 am CDT...

At 625 am CDT... Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from Mauriceville to near La
Belle... and moving east at 60 mph.

Dime size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
these storms.
