Very cold this morning with rains from the coastal waters up to the I-10 corridor. There is a transition zone that extends from southern Jasper and Newton counties across to southern St Landry Parish where freezing rain and sleet could fall over the next several hours... north of this line. Further to the north from Tyler County east into Beauregard and into Avoyelles Parish will see a mixture of ice pellets...sleet.. and maybe some snow. Precipitation is expected to begin tapering off through the late morning hours.
