... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until midnight CST Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a Winter Weather Advisory... which is in effect until midnight CST
Tuesday night. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.

* Snow will develop today... and persist into Tuesday. A few
breaks in the precipitation are expected... and a mix with
sleet and freezing drizzle could occur at times.

* The heaviest snowfall rates will occur from late afternoon
through this evening.

* Look for reduced visibilities at times.

* Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are expected... with a
glaze of ice possible in some areas.

* Plan on difficult driving conditions... particularly during the
evening commute. The eastern Twin Cities Metro could experience
slick conditions during the morning commute today due to a
period of mixed precipitation.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
