... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon MDT
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow remains in effect until
noon MDT Tuesday.
* Timing... snow... heavy at times... will continue into Tuesday
* Snow accumulation... 8 to 14 inches of snow are expected... with
locally heavier accumulations possible.
* Impacts... heavy snowfall will make travel hazardous and will
pose a threat to Young livestock.
* Flooding impacts... liquid equivalent precipitation amounts
will be between a half inch and an inch. With above freezing
temperatures expected again on Tuesday... snow melt will
begin quickly and may cause additional flooding in locations
which have seen flooding this past week.
A Winter Storm Warning means a significant amount of snow is
expected or occurring. Strong winds are also possible. This will
make travel very hazardous or impossible.

... The Flood Advisory for rain and melting snow remains in effect
until 745 am MDT Wednesday for Stillwater... Sweet Grass and
As of Monday afternoon... streams and creeks across the area are
still running high and in some areas minor flooding is occurring.
Water is flowing over some roads and flooding some fields.
One half to one inch of moisture in the form of rain and wet snow is
expected by Tuesday morning. This additional precipitation may cause
additional flooding through midweek. Any new snow that falls will
melt Tuesday and Wednesday when temperatures are expected to rise
above freezing... which could cause new rises on some streams and
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent. Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find
alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of swiftly flowing
water to carry vehicles away.
Report flooding to local law enforcement and have them relay the
report to the National Weather Service.
