... Cold and wet in the mountains with snow in the higher terrain
over the next couple of days...
A large low pressure system will move inland today and tonight
over Washington and Oregon with colder air that will spread east
of the Cascades... with snow levels lowering to near 6500 feet.
Snow will develop in the higher terrain of the Cascades... The
Eagle cap wilderness... the Elkhorn Mountains... the higher Blue
Mountains and the Strawberry wilderness. Three to six inches of
snow can be expected above 6500 feet today... tonight and
Thursday.
Campers... hikers... and other outdoor enthusiast should be
prepared for cold and wet conditions in the mountains as well as
snow in the higher terrain above 6500 feet.
