...Lake effect Snow Advisory in effect until 7 am EST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a lake effect Snow Advisory...which is in effect until 7 am EST Friday.

* Snow accumulations...2 to 4 inches.

* Period of most intense snow...until 5am.

* Impacts...snow will accumulate rapidly where lake effect snow bands persist. Visibility will be sharply reduced and untreated surfaces will quickly become snow covered and slippery.

* Winds...west around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake effect Snow Advisory Means Lake-effect snow could make travel difficult. Lake-effect snow showers may align themselves in bands and drop several inches of snow in a short time.
