Watches & Warnings

Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 9:52 AM EST Feb. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am EST
Wednesday...

* locations... southeastern Pennsylvania... portions of northern
and central New Jersey.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.

* Timing... wet snow may become briefly heavy this afternoon or
evening.

* Impacts... accumulating snow will affect travel, especially during
the evening commute. Even the Wednesday morning commute may be
affected by the last batches of snow leaving the area. Road
conditions will likely deteriorate during times of heavier
snowfall rates. Remember... bridges and other elevated surfaces
tend to become slippery first.

* Temperatures... within a few degrees of 30.

* Winds... northeast 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

Report snow and ice accumulation to the National Weather Service
by calling our trained spotter line... posting to the NWS Mount
Holly facebook Page... or using twitter @nws_mountholly.

Snowfall and ice accumulation forecast maps in addition to
experimental probabilistic snowfall information for the latest
event are available online at www.Weather.Gov/phi/winter

Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 9:22 AM EST Feb. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM EST this
afternoon...

* location... the tidal section of the Delaware River and its tidal
tributaries.

* Coastal flooding... widespread minor flooding is expected around the
times of high tide this afternoon.

* Timing... high tide works its way up the tidal Delaware River
between 1230 PM and 330 PM.

* Impacts... considerable roadway flooding is anticipated. Some roads
may be closed due to high water.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is
expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some Road
closures. Usually... the most vulnerable roadways will flood.

Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The
water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting
yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged... leading to
costly repairs.

please go to www.Weather.Gov/phi/tides (all in lower case).
