... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon MST Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a
Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect until noon
MST Tuesday.

* Affected area... the Wasatch front and Cache Valley as well as
the Wasatch Mountain valleys.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 4 inches along the Wasatch front and
Cache Valley with 4 to 8 inches along the benches and across
the Wasatch Mountain valleys.

* Timing... snow... possibly initially falling as rain before
changing over... will spread across the area late this afternoon
and become locally heavy at times this evening. Snow may taper
off overnight... before increasing in coverage and intensity
early Tuesday morning. Snow is expected to taper off by late
morning.

* Snow levels... falling to the valley floors this evening.

* Impacts... slushy accumulations are expected along the benches
and Wasatch Mountain valleys this evening. Accumulating snow on
roadways is expected early Tuesday morning which will likely
impact the morning commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that snow accumulations
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads. Use caution while driving.
