the Chippewa river at Durand.
* From late tonight to Monday morning.
* At 8:00 am Wednesday the stage was 12.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by after midnight tonight and
continue to rise to near 14.3 feet by Friday morning. The river
will fall below flood stage by Sunday afternoon.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... the basements of warehouses along the river
begin to flood.
* Impact... at 12.5 feet... the North Shore Highway begins to flood.

The previous announcement of a tied record warm low in the Twin Cities
for may 29... was incorrect.

Looking back further in the records we found a 66 degree low
temperature recorded back may 19 1877.

Therefore we need to retract the previous record event report.

The original record of 66 stands... and it was set may 19 1877.

... Preventative maintenance scheduled for the Twin Cities weather radio
this afternoon...

The National Weather Service and the Minnesota Department of
Transportation will be conducting routine preventative maintenance on
the NOAA Weather Radio transmitter serving the Twin City Metro area.

There may be extra noises heard over the weather radio broadcast during
this maintenance period... which will occur between noon and 400 PM
today.
