Green Lake Severe Watches & Warnings NOAA Weather Radio

Special Statement
Statement as of 5:17 AM CDT on July 22, 2014

...Very warm and humid conditions expected today...

Breezy southwest winds will carry very warm and humid conditions into southern Wisconsin today. High temperatures are expected to rise into the 88 to 93 degree range. Dew points are expected to climb to between 70 and 73 degrees.

The combination of heat and humidity will result in heat index values rising to between 95 and 100 degrees for several hours this afternoon...with the highest values over a small portion of south central Wisconsin around Lone Rock.

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee will continue to monitor the situation. If it appears temperatures or humidity will go higher than currently forecast...then a heat advisory would be issued...with south central Wisconsin the most likely to see advisory conditions. Keep up with later forecasts and statements.
