...Shifting to a wetter pattern...
A frontal boundary will be the focus for thunderstorm development over the next few days...beginning later tonight and continuing through at least Thursday night. The atmosphere will become very warm and humid south of this front. So there will be plenty of moisture for any of these storms to work with.
The best chance of storms will be later tonight into Thursday night. There will be a lower confidence in storms Friday into the weekend as an upper ridge of high pressure builds north and may suppress storm development in spite of the lingering frontal boundary.
So while there is concern for some Urban and Small Stream flooding in this regime...there is some small potential for flash flooding as well especially where any storms become persistent or traverse repeatedly across the same areas.
Stay tuned for later forecasts on this evolving potential for some heavier rainfall.
