VICTORIA DAY, MAY 24/10

Fog thick this morning, sun attempting to shine thru, a brisk SW breeze 15-20KPH makes the 11C seem a bit cooler. Moisture coming next couple of days with sun by the end of the week.

Kids out overnight once again, suspect they will be returning to the fold during the day. Emily has been keeping her friend company this weekend as her dad is returning from a tour in Afganastan to Gagetown in the next day or so. Needless to say she and her family anxiously waiting for the troops to arrive in Fredericton.

Fishing news not great, price on the decline or barely holding its own. The catch has not been great to help make up the slack in price.

Dear Rob:

It is hotter than heck here - but we did go in to the Irving Nature Park to hike. The fog was laying off-shore and was about 10 degrees cooler. Had to pick up the pace to keep some heat on. Back in Hampton - same deal - HOT. I heard it was supposed to be 30 degrees tomorrow - but apparently you heard it was to be rain? Talk about conflicting weather.

If you saw beached people on Pettes Cove yesterday - my daughter was laid out sunning and sister and I hunting for glass. Sarah much too cool to be caught dead beach glass hunting - although she walked with us on Stanley on Saturday and is still 'crowing' that she found a piece of yellow, which neither sister or I have. HUM!

It appears that I will not be shopping for at least two weeks as Ineke - from Seawind beads - called today to inform me that she has my Visa card. My husband is in his glory. Oh well - it cash or debit for me. Watch the damn car break down or something.

Well, everyone is starving so I am at it. Wish I was in the fog in Grand Manan. Oh well ... have a good one.

Word. Chunks.

Morning CHUNKS, you certainly picked a great couple of days to visit. Great hiking weather, temps just where one would want them.
The folks you met from the south aren't being held accountable for the disaster that is unfolding. Many factors and individuals can share the blame, now get it under control is the goal.
We were around Pettes Cove yesterday afternoon, seems it is quite popular spot with some beachcombing while others content to catch a few rays.
Donna and her friend off tomorrow on the Garden Centre tour, and to Moncton to pick her longtime buddy from Manitoba. We met in the mid 70's at a hydro project and they have maintained a speacil relationship ever since.
The fog is relenting some, so must move the carcass outside and finish up some of my unfinished chores.
Have a good one.
