Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the cape area cleared of clouds yesterday morning and the entire sea has been pretty much free of any cloudiness since then.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera where that moisture plume that was over the cape area yesterday morning has moved south of the cape and the long narrow plume is now spread out from around Mazatlan to Manzanillo this morning. The plume is scattered and broken so it looks like they will be seeing a mix of whispys and a few dark bottomed clouds until late afternoon.
Looking further south where the Tehuantepec continues to have very moderate winds extending out over the 3-day forecast period.
Taking a quick look out along the ITCZ/Monsoon trough this morning I can see that there is a lot of heavy convection along the zone. There is about 1500 miles of solid heavy thunderbumpers working along the zone this morning.
That’s about it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where at the top of this image I can see a low spiraling in Gulf of Alaska, another low about half way down the British Columbia coast and one just poised off the Washington coast. These three systems, one after another, will be bringing valley rain and snow to the Cascades all week.
Extreme northern California will most likely see some rain from the system now in the Gulf of Alaska on Thursday and Friday.
For the Bay area and the rest of northern California it will remain dry and warm during the week.
Looking now at southern California Grey May is the order of the day for the southland coastal areas. Thick fog will retreat off shore very late in the mornings perhaps bringing sunshine to the beaches in the afternoons. Most inland areas will be seeing sunshine all day.
Looking now over to the southwest where temps will be in the mid 90s most of the week and perhaps break the century mark next weekend. This image is showing clear skies and the forecast is for that to continue all week.
That’s what is going on the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the 3-day forecast period will be very pleasant. The northern see will be seeing brisk southerlies for the next 3 days. The central sea moderate easterly or northeasterly and the southern sea light winds with a western component.
I don’t see any clouds on the horizon so it looks like abundant sunshine is also in the forecast.
Afternoon temperatures should be in the mid to high 80s today.
Looking at the monthly data. The sunrise and afternoon highs were only one degree lower than the April norms here at the Cove. 66 and 85 were this months figures so a pretty normal April. 77 and 88 are the May norms for the sunrise and afternoon temperatures
The El Burro Chamber of Commerce is giving the last day of April 4 stars.
