Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the sea has been pretty much free of any cloudiness for the past 24 hours
Looking south to the cape area I can see that a plume has broken off the ITCZ/Monsoon trough and is bringing a long narrow band of clouds toward the cape, taking dead aim on the southern crossing. This image is showing the East Cape seeing some cloudiness and it looks like Mazatlan will see some later this morning.
That’s it for the sky conditions in our area.
Looking south to the ITCZ/Monsoon trough I can see two embedded lows along the zone this morning and very active thunderbumpers working all along the zone out to around 145W this morning.
Looking back at the Tehuantepec where very moderate southerlies continue in the Gulf keeping the crossing window open.
That about it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where at the top of this image I can see a weak low moving into the Great Northwest this morning. It’s forecast to move quickly to the east bringing rain and snow with it as it moves into the Rockies this evening.
Northern California is clear and dry this morning and should stay that way well into next week.
Southern California will see night and morning clouds become less extensive with gradual warming through the weekend. Temperatures will be close to seasonal averages.
Looking now over to the southwest where above normal temperatures will continue today through Sunday as a high pressure system remains over the region. Temperatures are forecast to be in the mid to upper 90s over the lower deserts
Slightly cooler temperatures will develop early next week as a series of pacific weather systems move into the western states. A slight chance of high-based thunderbumper s will develop over the higher terrain of south-central Arizona Tuesday and Wednesday.
Well, that’s what is going on to the north of us, back on this side of the fence it looks like the LoretoFest will have very pleasant weather for the weekend. Today light NE and Saturday and Sunday moderate SE.
Here is what the rest of the sea will be like. The northern sea moderate southerlies for the 3-day forecast period. The Central Sea moderate east or northeast for the 3-day forecast period. The southern sea today light northeast and tomorrow and Sunday light to moderate southwest breezes.
And a little reminder that Tomorrow’s full moon will be a "super Moon,” it will be as much as 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full Moons of 2012. That should be an extra treat for the folks at the LoretoFest. For the rest of us it’s just another excuse to have a howl at the moon party. And don’t forget to howl. It’s good for the soul.
