Some morning fog, then sunshine and warm. Lather, rinse, repeat as desired.
It looks like we got our week’s rainfall quota yesterday, as there’s not really any rain in the forecast for this week. A large area of high pressure will be moving across Wisconsin over the next couple of days, with sunshine and warm temperatures can be expected. The next storm system on Thursday may get pushed north into Canada as Tropical Storm Isaac moves inland, so you can expect the nice weather to linger through the week and into this weekend. We may get back to near 90 degrees on Thursday and Friday, too. With September arriving on Saturday, there won’t be many more days of this hot weather left this year, so enjoy it while you can. Or stay inside with the A/C on. Your choice. http://weather.unisys.com/gfsx/gfsx.php?inv =0&plot=pres®ion=us&t=9p Today’s Forecast Grade: A Short-Term Forecast Confidence: High Wisconsin Forecast: Today’s Conditions: Areas of early morning fog, otherwise lots of sunshine. Our only chance at some rain may come on Sunday, depending on Isaac’s final path. It wouldn’t be the first time Wisconsin has gotten wind and rain from a former hurricane, but as of now the weather models are expecting it to curve east as it passes through Illinois. Spotty light rain showers today, sunshine tomorrow.
A small area of low pressure, currently centered near St. Louis, is pushing enough moisture northward to develop a few scattered showers across Wisconsin this morning. Don’t expect the type of soaking rain where you can go outside shortly afterwards and literally watch the grass grow, though. These light rain showers should decrease this afternoon, and we’ll probably see a bunch of stars tonight. High temperatures will generally stick in the 70s this week, with a top-off of 80+ possible tomorrow and Wednesday, but we may cool off to the point where we’re barely reaching 70 again by Friday.

What a Weekend!
It has been almost two weeks since I’ve written a weather update, but you’re going to like what you’re about to read. After yesterday’s washout where many areas got between 1-2” of rain, the sky is clearing up and a few really nice days of weather are ahead for us. A slow-moving area of low pressure is going to linger in the Ohio Valley, keeping the cool northerly wind around, but high pressure is gradually dropping into the Midwest from Canada, which will give us lots of sunshine today, tomorrow, and into the first part of Sunday. We may see a storm pop-up late on Sunday, but most of the weekend looks like a winner. Enjoy!
