USA TODAY:
It sounded like a joke when the news first hit in 2000: Giant Burmese pythons were invading the Everglades. Now scientists have measured the real impact of the arrival of this voracious species, and the news is troubling.

Workers hold a nearly 16-foot-long Burmese python captured and killed in Everglades National Park, Fla., in October. The python had consumed a 76-pound adult female deer.

It really is sad about Gabrielson. We watched his chases on here a lot. He was featured on the WC a few times.
What's wrong with my spelling?

Slowly but surely...
It looks like Aussie wins this one.
Yep looks like. :)
I fold.
I'll give you that, but unfortunately this is serious stuff for florida as we have no predators to contend with them and they could virtually wipe out every bird and mammal species in the Glades.
He definitely lived life to the fullest and documented some incredible tornadoes. The world of storm chasing won't be the same without him.

Or he got too close and got caught in the rear-flank downdraft-which rolled his vehicle, perhaps.
A magnitude 5.7 earthquake offshore Vancouver Island, and a magnitude 4.3 offshore southern Oregon, all within the span of 31 minutes. Let's look back at the earthquake events I've deemed "significant" in the Cascadia region.
September 1, 2009 - August 31, 2010: 2 earthquakes M6.5 or higher, both offshore northern California.
September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2011: 4 earthquakes, including 2 above M4.5 (both offshore Oregon).
September 1, 2011 - December 31, 2011: 4 earthquakes, including 2 above M4.5 (a M6.4 offshore Vancouver Island, and a ~M5 quake offshore southern Oregon).
January 1, 2012 - February 5 (early morning), 2012: 3 earthquakes, including 2 above M4.5 (one south of Queen Charlotte Islands, another offshore Vancouver Island).
watch for them to get shallower...if so, maybe St. Helens has something for us..never know:)
Magnitude 4.9 - VANUATU

Feb 2 Vanatu had a 7.2 as well.
He faults that on the road conditions..
11/8/11 - Recent Chase video on the left depicts what happened in yesterdays chase, including the car roll over... I am ok, thank you for the concerns and thanks to Tyler and Jordan from The Storm Patrol for helping me get home. Thanks to the TornadoVideos.net team for first picking me up immediately after the accident and took me to see a couple more tornadoes with them. Also thanks to Steve Miller(OK) and JR Hehnly for stopping. What appears to have happened was due to the heavy rain, there was some ponding on the road ways, some of the side roads in Oklahoma are paved, and then repaved, and then patched. While back up it appears I may have hit either a puddle or one of the patches/potholes at the worst possible angle. I was backing up at around 20 - 25mph, a little faster than usual, however considering that nobody was behind me and I was alone. Had the road been smooth, it would have been fine, unfortunately the car then backed sideways into the ditch, digging into the mud, and hitting a dirt embankment and rolled over about 1 1/2 times... Thanks again to everyone who watched live yesterday, I was glad to be able to bring you all up close to natures power, please do not attempt to storm chase without solid experience and training!
Thanks,
Andy
Sounds reasonable, Skye. He was definitely backing up in a hurry.
Thanks.
I honestly don't know how I missed it the first time.
what are we finding?
Just keep searching.
Is it the fact one lamp has two lamp shades?
Nope, it is something creepy.
i think i see it.
HOLY MACKEREL I JUST SAW IT!!!!
Yeah, but thats still not as creepy as the lamp shades, or the amount of pillows on that couch.
Woah! That startled me. XD
The drought will come back in full-force in a few months.
