Highs will continue to range between 91 and 98 with lows between 70 and 74. Rain chances should be low going into this week, but isolated pop-up storms will be possible each day. Few storms could be strong to severe with large hail and gusty winds. Heavy rain and localized flash flooding will also be a threat. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 75 and it feels like 75. Today’s high is 98 with a low of 75. Thursdays high is 96.
Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, a non-tropical low pressure system near Bermuda is producing a small area of showers and thunderstorms. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a medium chance, 40%, of becoming a subtropical or tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves Northeastward at 15mph. In the Eastern Pacific, the low pressure system has changed little this morning. Environmental conditions remain marginally conducive for a tropical depression to form during the next couple of days. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a medium chance, 30%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves West or West-Northwest at 10 to 15mph.
