AT 400 PM EST...2100Z...The center of Tropical Depression One was located near latitude 8.5 degrees north and longitude 110.0 degrees east. This is about 275 miles southeast of Ho Chi Minh City,Vietnam.
One is moving toward the west-northwest at 23 MPH...37 KM/HR. A more northwesterly track is forecast for the next 36 hours and One could make landfall on the Southern coast of Vietnam by Tuesday morning.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 MPH...55 KM/HR...with higher gusts. Strengthening is possible before landfall and One could become a tropical storm by later tonight.
