The wind went from none to howling like a coyote here in the gulf coast area, in fact flags are shredding as I type. It is an understatement to say I get skittish during storms, but at least I have fair warning. Anyone out there sell insurance?

And so begins the first of many power outages to follow, and the conditions are mild at present, so I hope for the best and expect the worst. As usual.

Tornado du jour

I just caught a glimpse of the country's weather on this Friday morning. While it is breezy and muggy here, the birds are singing their little heads off. Sadly not the story for much of the neighboring states. Ominous is the word Im looking for here, and even the meteorologists look tense today. Hunker down all y'all in the path of destruction, share your shelter and your shoulder. Ill be snug down here in the Gulf Coast, but I'll be hoping for a casualty free day for the rest of you. Good luck all-
