Long weekend is over and the unofficial start of summer is Memorial day weekend, and the weather cooperated. The predicted showers and thunderstorms never materialized as the air was just too stable.
It warm most of the weekend, but each afternoon the spring seabreeze kicked in dropping our temps into the 60's within 30 miles of the coast.
I was busy most of the weekend with lots of yard work and odds and ends around the house. Can't say I really rested. Also had a couple of trouble calls for work as I was on oncall duty.
TS Beryl continues to dump lots of rain on the SE,but is expected to move NE along the carolinas coast and out to sea by Thursday. So we are up to B for this tropical season which doesn't officially start until Friday.
Celtics started their finals last night with the Miami heat and looked so bad in the second half. They really have no chance. They are so banged up.I guess they should be complimented on getting this far.
Redsox continue to struggle to get above 500.
We have our new bay window in our family room and a new window on the side of the house. So room is slowly getting together. We have bought new furniture, sofa and love seat, and now the work of chosing what color to do the walls and stain of the molding and window frame, which is not fun.

CURRENT NORTHEAST WEATHER RADAR
Good Morning, NEw!
Hope that the threat of a tornado hitting the Berkshires doesn't materialize later today! The current radar seems to show that stretch of storms dissipating as it nears the southwestern tip of Pennsylvania. Heaven knows none of us needs any more damage done to homes and property throughout the Commonwealth and Nation.
I'm surprised to see our weather forecasted as a high of 91F degrees today. So far, we've been stuck in overcast skies with a cool dry temp of 65F. Somehow, I don't think that warm front will reach us later today and remain further west. Fingers crossed!
Glad to learn that you are finally able to appreciate those newly installed windows to your home. Sounds like your renovations are nearly complete. I only know that those encasement windows, hubby and I had installed last year, are really paying off in spades. Our views are far more spectacular and the much increased ventilation during hotter days is a relief. We no longer need to snap on our air conditioner in the afternoons, on hot days, and can get away with just a high velocity circular fan. YEAH! It feels so great when improvements can be made to one's home plus utilities, but the greatest enjoyment is when one can finally wave a final good-bye to the contractors. LOL!
I actually broke down and watched a portion of the Red Sox/Tiger's game yesterday while doing domestic chores. Surprising how the were able to capitalize on the ousting of the Tigers manager and win. Nevertheless, I have little or no hope of their emerging from the bottom of the division in this or other years. The ownership continues to believe they can media hype their way out of this mess. :(
Keeping my eyes to the skies today and tomorrow for any potentially serious t'storms. If any materialize, I hope that it's during the night while I'm fast asleep! LOL!
