As I noticed the time passed by and no clearing sky I looked at the Wundermap, GOES West, and GOES East satellites and noticed a large band of clouds all connected 1500 miles long stretching from Santa Rosalía, Mexico (Baja Mexico region) all the way across the country to these parts. It will not clear up unless it is a short localized clearing. Now 3.15pm: 79° Mostly Cloudy Overcast . Take a look at the western sky tonight if you missed it last night to see the setting crescent moon. Updated Thursday 4.26
Hello once again to those seldom few readers here.
My forecast today is rather late, it seems; at 10:55am we have 40% of the solar rads than the same time yesterday . Cloud cover is extensive at 2300 feet, totally overcast. Daytime temperature will rise to 88° today since T current is 77. That is not much of an increase although it would seem very warm for the end of April. When the clouds burn off in a few hours get your sunblock on. It is insufferably uncomfortable right now, even though RH is only 60%. The link below will allow you to see the realtime Satellite Cloud coverage.

Now on to the weather?
Currently
At Noon the temperature is 75° Approximately 250 km or 155 miles west of here the clouds end. That is near Wilson, Oklahoma. I think it may be a soccer ball. Although the surface winds in nearby Ardmore and here are only 6 mph from the South-Southeast, the upper level Jet Stream winds are 85 mph moving NW - SE which should push the clouds down and east quickly. Did not happen.I will take a guess the sunshine will appear at 2:30pm. So that is when you should have your doors & windows closed, go back inside and turn your air conditioning on. If you don't have any then why are you living around here??
Hope to see you tomorrow, those who venture here.

Carcinogens, Smog, Carbon Monoxide, and Fine Particle Air Pollution (EPA.GOV)
This section is self-explanatory. One of the reasons this emplacement is here is because most people have no idea how unhealthy the Air is. A slow, careful reading should make us more appreciative of electric vehicles and start
outlawing
passenger trucks!
NMOG, NMHC, or THC—types of carbon-containing compounds, including hydrocarbons
NOx—Oxides of Nitrogen, which combine with hydrocarbons to create smog
PM—Particulate Matter, tiny particles of solid matter that lodge in the lungs and deposit on buildings
CO—Carbon Monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas
HCHO—Formaldehyde, a lung irritant and carcinogen
These particles come in many sizes and shapes and can be made up of hundreds of different chemicals. Some particles, known as primary particles are emitted directly from a source, such as construction sites, unpaved roads, fields, smokestacks or fires. Others form in complicated reactions in the atmosphere of chemicals such as sulfur dioxides and nitrogen oxides that are emitted from power plants, industries and automobiles. These particles, known as secondary particles, make up most of the fine particle pollution in the country.
• Fine particles are easily inhaled deep into the lungs where they may accumulate, react, be cleared or absorbed.
Fast Facts Particle Pollution (link)Scientific studies have linked particle pollution, especially fine particles, with a series of significant health problems:
• Increased respiratory symptoms, such as irritation of the airways, coughing, or difficulty breathing
for example:
• decreased lung function;
• aggravated asthma;
• development of chronic bronchitis;
• irregular heartbeat;
• nonfatal heart attacks
• premature death in people with heart or lung disease.
Particle pollution can cause
• coughing, wheezing, and decreased lung function even in otherwise healthy children and adults.

How nice to hear from you YellowOrangeRose. That plant has a wooden stalk 3.5 meters high and growing all the time! It is so high I cannot see the flowers when I stand next to it. You may remember, a few years ago it suddenly appeared. It was such a nice suprise to look out my window and right in the middle were those flowers. I was exclaining, "OMG! OMG! I have never seen anything so beautiful. Thank you.", and I was answered.
Today, it was 36 C yet there was hale in some other parts of our country and other parts was flooding. Office room was so cold with 3 room air- conditioners all working. When i went to the admins office i had to go downstairs and there i felt the heat and i pitied the plants. I could see how they are suffering Then I remembered the news reports giving tips on how not to get heat stroke...then i asked my self if plants and trees too suffer heat stroke??? I guess they do because some of their branches and leaves wither and die what do you think?
